We are looking to fill the following roles within CDC Telecom:
Job Description:
As a Junior Data Network Engineer at CDC Telecom, you will be an integral part of our technical team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and management of internal cabling structures. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship, learning the fundamentals of data structural layouts and cable management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation and maintenance of internal cabling structures.
Learn and apply the fundamentals of data structural layouts.
Work with various types of cables, including Cat5, Cat6 and fibre optic.
Participate in cable management activities to ensure organized and efficient cabling systems.
Support the testing and troubleshooting of cabling and network systems using specialized equipment.
Collaborate with senior engineers to develop your skills and knowledge in data network engineering.
Maintain accurate documentation of cabling layouts and network configurations.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all work activities.
Training:
Comprehensive training on the use and operation of testing equipment.
Ongoing mentorship from experienced engineers to support your professional development.
Opportunities for certification and further education in data networking technologies.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of data networks and cabling systems.
Strong interest in developing a career in network engineering.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Physically capable of performing tasks that may require climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in confined spaces.
Industry experience in electrical, CCTV, or security is a positive but not essential.
Education:
A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Relevant certifications or coursework in data networking or cabling will be an advantage.
Salary:
€26,000 - €30,000 OTE
